1. Who we are
QEntangle.tech ("we", "us") operates the website at https://qentangle.tech, an interactive quantum mechanics learning platform. For any privacy question or request, contact admin@qentangle.tech.
2. Information we collect
- Visitor statistics. To show the site-wide visitor counter we derive an anonymous visitor key: a random identifier stored in your browser, or a one-way hash (SHA-256) of connection details when no identifier is available. We store aggregated counts, not browsing profiles.
- Page-view counts. Aggregate per-page view counts used to understand which learning areas are useful.
- Account data. If you register, we store your name, email address, and a securely hashed password (passwords are never stored in plain text). Accounts use a session cookie to keep you signed in.
- Contact and support messages. When you use the enquiry form we receive the details you submit (name, email, optional phone, message) and deliver them by email to our support desk.
- Feedback ratings. Star ratings and comments submitted through the feedback widget, linked to the anonymous visitor key.
- Live chat. Messages you send through the live-chat widget are relayed to our operator desk so we can reply.
- Preferences. Your light/dark theme choice is kept in your browser's local storage and never leaves your device.
3. What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent personal information.
- We do not run third-party advertising or cross-site tracking pixels.
- We do not require an account to study the learning content.
4. Legal bases and purposes
We process data to operate the site (legitimate interest), to answer messages you send us (consent / pre-contract steps), and to secure the platform against abuse (legitimate interest). Aggregated statistics contain no directly identifying information.
5. Retention
Contact messages and support threads are kept for as long as needed to resolve the request and maintain a support history. Account data is kept until you ask us to delete your account. Aggregate counters are kept indefinitely because they identify no one.
6. Cookies and local storage
- Session cookie - set only when you log in, used to keep your session; HttpOnly and same-site.
- Local storage - theme preference, an anonymous visitor identifier, and feedback-widget state (for example, so we do not re-prompt you after you rate the site).
No marketing or third-party cookies are set.
7. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data (including your account) at any time by emailing admin@qentangle.tech. If you are in a jurisdiction with statutory privacy rights (such as the GDPR or similar laws), we honor those rights on request.
8. Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Passwords are stored hashed. Vulnerability reports are welcome via the address published in our security.txt.
9. Changes
We will update this page when practices change and adjust the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes will be noted on the site.
